Introduction
The Canada-China Meat Exporter Council (CCMEC) is a non-profit organization officially approved and licensed by the Government of Canada for facilitating meat industry production, processing and mechanization. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and British Columbia Greater Vancouver, Montreal Quebec City and Calgary, Alberta has offices. Association in China's Shanghai and Shenzhen already has offices.
The council is dedicated to:
- Promoting increased Canadian meat exports to China to industry, government and the public;
- Facilitating trade in equipment, patent licensing and technology to improve Canadian and Chinese protein animal farming, husbandry, and processing;
- Creating a platform for meat biological and technical exchange between Canada and China;
- Protecting council members through its legal services, such as consultation, mediation and arbitration to safeguard trademarks and intellectual property;
- Providing council members with internationally-recognized certification services for meat products, quality assurance, manufacturing and service systems as well as environment protection systems;
- Organizing training programs and seminars on how to navigate Sino-Canadian industrial policies, market trends, standards and specifications, marketing and sales, commercial and tax regulations, and investment opportunities and risks.

Established in 1991, Canada Pork International is the export promotion agency of the Canadian pork industry. The organization reunites Canadian pork exporters, provincial institutions and service organizations to promote Canadian pork in a variety of international markets. Its mandate is primarily to seek to resolve specific foreign market access issues impacting on Canadian pork exports; to coordinate and implement the generic international promotional efforts of the Canadian pork industry; to keep the Canadian pork industry appraised of changes taking place in export markets as well as to provide foreign customers with information on Canadian pork products and on the Canadian pork industry.
 
The USA Poultry & Egg Export Council was founded in 1984 with the purpose of increasing its members’ commodity exports. The Council is a non-profit organization supported by trade conglomerates and sanctioned as a co-operator by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. USAPEEC administers export promotion funds received through the Market Access Program and the Foreign Market Development Program.
 
The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) is a non-profit trade association with an extensive international presence through its many offices around the world. Gathering and providing local and vital information about worldwide markets is the main focus of this organization.
